Abstract

Activated carbon has been produced by using different raw materials. The powdered form, granular form and tablet form could be used in the medicine applications. The obtained activated carbon could remove the toxic substance, to reduce the inflammation, to prevent staining, to absorb gas in digestive system, and to improve bad breath. In order to enhance the adsorption capacity, the granulate type has high surface area, while the tablet form should be suspended in the liquid. Currently, activated carbon served as dietary supplement, and suitable for adult and children. There are many manufacturers produced face mask contained activated carbon filter. This filter has long service life, could be used to remove fine dust, smoke, vapor and pollen effectively.
